OFFICE DESIGN
SINGLING OUT THE UNIQUENESS IN EACH PRACTICE

Architecture has the ability to represent your practice and your dreams. Visually, spatially and emotionally your office introduces you to your client.

We've all entered hotels, restaurants, offices and other places that just don't look and feel right to us. Who you are personally and professionally begins to come through with the first visual and emotional experience that your client has. Our architectural design firm name FORBIDDENEDGES came about as a response to our desire to create spaces that challenge traditional office design.

We strive to create spaces that feel special to each doctor and staff and that give a sense of gentle caring to the client. Too many offices become machines to make a living but leave out the joys of living.

Designing in this way often takes us to the forbidden edges outside traditional office design. I was very fortunate in my dental practice years to receive some terrific transformational ideas and mentoring to go with them. It changed my life from going to “work,” into bringing joy into my life and others. Being able to support a doctor and staff to achieve their dreams is a process that gives me great pleasure!

Changing your practice in order to gain a better quality of life is possible.  Jimmy Stewart said "I fought reality all my life and finally overcame it". An increase in income is a likely secondary benefit. So, I am looking for dentists with quality oriented ideas and good technical skills who feel they might benefit working with me. It is possible to live a life where dreams are supported by reality, not just short time additions to it.

Check out some of the projects (including residential) and note that they were designed around each individual. Some even got on TV and in the newspapers.  If you are curious – lets talk and see if I can help you. Let me know what time to call in your e-mail.

I've been asked how architecture came about. On my days off from dentistry I worked with a very talented architect renovating historic buildings. It became a passion.  Other passions besides design and mentoring include sports car racing (no longer), lawn bowling and cooking (my wife is better).
